Determined, but not knowing what the future holds, Quatermain and Jessie set off across Africa in their search of Jessie's father and the lost mines. Along the way, they fight cannibals and wild animals, and, while Allan is not happy at first to have Elizabeth accompanying him on the quest, they do fall in love.
