Architect Jeff Cohalan (Robert Young) has not been the same since his fiancee Vivian (Shirley Ballard) died in a car accident with him driving. Later, his horse and dog die. Are all those "accidents" that now plague him a result of his mental state? His new girlfriend, Ellen (Betsy Drake), does not think so and tries to uncover what is behind the tragedies.
