Jane (Meryl Streep) is divorced, has three grown kids, and owns a successful bakery/restaurant in Santa Barbara. While attending her son's college graduation, Jane agrees to have dinner with ex-husband Jake (Alec Baldwin) who is now married to young Agness (Lake Bell). The dinner results in an affair when Jane and Jake jump into bed. Meanwhile, architect Adam (Steve Martin) falls for Jane only to find himself in the middle of a very strange love triangle. It's complicated. 4 User Reviews

Thumbs up on giving the older woman a win for a change

No other person could play this part better than Meryl Streep, a beautiful woman who in real life would not be impossible to believe that older or younger men would be competing for her. I love Rita Wilson too and had no idea until today that she was married to Tom Hanks. What a wonderful couple!

Streep is over the top with this one. All through it you can feel her love, her joys & her pain. She's just incredible!

This movie was well cast. All the actors including the little kid, Pedro, are talented. The story line was fairly fresh as one can expect for a love triangle plot. Great comedic-timing by actors and the director. A fun and believable time..
