A giant robot ambushes a camp of American Special Forces Rangers, hacks into the Pentagon's mainframe, and uploads top military secrets. The survivors–Capt. Lennox (Josh Duhamel) and Sgt. Epps (Tyrese Gibson)–set out to warn Defense Secretary John Keller (Jon Voight) that there is a threat to the world. Meanwhile, teenager Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) has managed to purchase a 1970s' Camaro that, magically, can drive itself.
