When a plot is suspected that involves assassinating President Ballentine (David Rasche), all of the White House Secret Service agents are given polygraph tests. Over-the-hill agent Pete Garrison (Michael Douglas) has been secretly "servicing" the First Lady (Kim Basinger), and he fails the test. Even though his failure is for the wrong reason, Garrison is relieved of his duties. But, Garrison perseveres in trying to save the President's life, and his efforts lead to a confrontation with his once-good friend and fellow agent David Breckinridge (Kiefer Sutherland). 1 User Review

| | This is good look at Keifer in a Jack Bauer role | skylark 07/16/2010 | | It's hard to see the Sledgehammer tv show character as President of the U.S.A. But because his role is very small (even tho there is a plot to kill him), it doesn't detract from the Douglas and Sutherland chemistry that keep the movie going. I bet this role landed Sutherland the Jack Bauer role - don't you love "connections." |
