The Outsider   1961             N/R, 108 min. This story begins when Hayes (Tony Curtis) leaves his Arizona reservation and joins the U.S. Marine Corps. He and Pvt. James B. Sorenson (James Franciscus) become friends in boot camp and go off to fight in World War II. Sorenson is also one of the four men who raised the flag on Iwo Jima, but he is later killed in battle.
