In this musical biography, a classical music composer (S.Z. Sakall) couldn't get his songs heard until a publisher of popular songs (Mark Stevens) suggested going toward popular music. His daughter (June Haver), a singer/dancer, was all for this idea. Needing money, the composer used the name "Fred Fisher" and rearranged his music with great success. "Peg O' My Heart" was one of his many hits.
