In this insightful made-for-TV drama, a mentally challenged couple (Thomas and Kavner) fall in love and must deal with parental concern. This is very similar to "Like Normal People," but is somewhat better.

Twenty eight years ago my then elementary school children and I watched this movie together. We still say to each other "Bye Boat".
