Moulin Rouge   2001             PG-13, 126 min. He also introduces Christian to Satine (Nicole Kidman). Christian falls in love, but Satine is promised to the wealthy Duke of Montroth (Richard Roxburgh) who just happens to be financing the show. Complications ensue amidst dazzling musical numbers. The film received eight Academy Award nominations and won for Best Costume Design and Art Direction. Nominations included Best Picture and Actress (Nicole Kidman).
