This is the movie version of the popular Broadway musical in which young red-headed Annie (Aileen Quinn) lives in an orphanage under the supervision of gin-slugging Miss Hannigan (Carol Burnett). Annie finds a new life at the home of gruff billionaire Daddy Warbucks (Albert Finney), but she is determined to find her real parents. Daddy Warbucks loves Annie and helps her in her quest by offering a reward. This gives Miss Hannigan the opportunity to come up with a scheme to collect the money. But, the scheme fails, and all ends happily. The musical numbers include "Tomorrow," which Annie performs for President Roosevelt (Edward Herrmann).
