Then the story skips ahead to the end of Johnny's five-year prison sentence when he is released from jail and returns home to his dysfunctional former friends and his family. Despite the odds, Johnny tries to make a life for himself as a boxer by training with former heavyweight champ Lou (William Forsythe).
