The Goodbye Girl   1977         PG, 110 min. After all, they are living in his apartment and have nowhere to move when he arrives on the scene. The story line is predictable as the characters fall in love, but the film is a typically good Neil Simon comedy. Richard Dreyfuss won an Oscar for Best Actor. Nominations were also received for Best Actress (Mason), Supporting Actress (Cummings), Picture, and Screenplay.
