This time around, it's the parents—Trix (Bebe Neuwirth) and Darrell (Mark Blum)—who cause problems. The children—Judith (Heather Matarazzo) and Wesley (Zach Braff)—serve to link the stories together as they tell two tales, which mesh into the original story of their unusual lives.
