Set in the Depression era, two brothers, Ray (Christopher Walken) and Chez (Chris Penn), are professional gangsters who attend the funeral of their third sibling, Johnny (Vincent Gallo). Their wives (Annabella Sciorra and Isabella Rossellini) are also present as the remaining brothers agree to avenge their brother's murder but discuss moral codes in the process.
