Mentally disturbed Robert Cosick (Richard Basehart) climbs out onto a 15-story ledge and threatens to jump. This story about a policeman's (Paul Douglas) attempt to talk him down provides a suspenseful and well-performed thriller. It also features stars in early roles: Grace Kelly in her film debut as Mrs. Fuller, Ossie Davis as a taxi driver, and Joyce Van Patten as Ruth's (Debra Paget) girlfriend.
