Robinson) cracks a safe while attending a party. He then contacts beautiful Jo Keller (Claire Trevor) who fences stolen gems, she introduces him to gangster "Rocks" Valentine (Humphrey Bogart), and Clitterhouse ends up becoming enthralled with the underworld—all of which will lead to murder.
