Escape from Alcatraz   1979         PG, 112 min. Genre: Action Director: Don Siegel   Cast: Clint Eastwood, Patrick McGoohan, Roberts Blossom, Jack Thibeau, Fred Ward, Paul Benjamin, Larry Hankin, Fred Stuthman, Garry Goodrow, Danny Glover   Alcatraz was supposedly escape-proof, or so it was thought, until 1962 when three prisoners—Frank Morris (Clint Eastwood) and the Anglin brothers (Jack Thibeau and Fred Ward)—actually swam away into San Francisco Bay. This is a grade A prison film, and Clint Eastwood does a great job.
