Years ago, after Madeline (Meryl Streep) stole Helen's (Goldie Hawn) plastic surgeon fiance Ernest (Bruce Willis), Helen ended up in a mental institution. Now, Helen has recovered from her breakdown and is determined to kill Madeline and get Ernest back. But, both women have been taking potions to prevent aging that has left them immortal, and their violent attacks on each other only leave them with injuries. As a result, both become dependent on the plastic surgery services of Ernest. The special effects in this film are worth the price of admission.
