During those days, there were often fatal crashes. Following the death of pilot Dizzy (Russell Hopton), chief pilot Mike Miller (Ralph Bellamy) fills in on the next flight. Mike crashes his plane but does survive, and Daredevil Duke Talbot (Pat O'Brien), who has run off with Dizzy's wife Irene (Lilian Bond), feels guilty and takes on the challenge of flying to Mike's rescue.
