Claudette Colbert easily handles the title role of the seductive Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt, who uses her wiles on the Roman emperor Julius Caesar (Warren William). Then, after Caesar is killed, she turns her attentions to Caesar's rival, Marc Antony (Henry Wilcoxon), and enters into a romance destined for tragedy.
