Along the way, they meet con-men "King" and "Duke" (Tony Randall and Mickey Shaughnessy) who find work on a riverboat and join the circus—neither the riverboat nor the circus were in Twain's book. Reluctantly, Huckleberry and Jim are drawn into the schemes of "King" and "Duke."
