The Box   2009         PG-13, 115 min. Cartier, Michele Durrett, John Magaro   A financially burdened couple, Nora and Arthur Lewis (Cameron Diaz and James Marsden), are given a box, and a mysterious stranger, Arlington Steward (Frank Langella), tells them that if they press certain buttons on the box within 24 hours, they will receive $1 million. But, if they choose to push the buttons, an unknown person will die in the process. Nora does push the buttons, a person across town drops dead, and they do receive the $1 million. They suffer guilt and find themselves in a moral dilemma. Arthur investigates the origins of the box, and the trail leads to NASA, the NSA, government conspiracies, and aliens.
