He lives with his mother (Marcia Jean Kurtz) and spends his spare time calling the local sports talk-show where he bickers with his rival Phil (Michael Rapaport) who is a Philadelphia Eagles fan. One night, Paul and his friend Sal (Kevin Corrigan) spot Giants linebacker Quantrell Bishop (Jonathan Hamm) and follow him to a Manhattan strip club where matters take a turn, and Bishop severely beats Paul. Paul is hospitalized, and when the media picks up on the story, Paul is left doubting his allegiance to the Giants and all that he believed in.
