The gangster has Chev's heart surgically removed and replaced with a mechanical one that needs regular jolts of electricity to keep working. Chev gets help from Doc Miles (Dwight Yoakam) and Venus (Efren Ramirez), and then, after reuniting with his girlfriend Eve (Amy Smart), Chev sets out to seek revenge against those who stole heart.
