During World War I, while taking cover under Waterloo Bridge during an air raid in London, chorus girl Myra (Mae Clarke) meets Canadian soldier Roy Cronin (Douglass Montgomery). Not realizing that Myra is a prostitute, Roy falls in love with her, and they make plans to be married—despite Myra's concerns about not admitting to Roy that she is a prostitute. Roy does find out about her past but still loves Myra. It is time for Roy to return to the battlefield, and they share a tearful farewell at Waterloo Bridge. Later, during another air raid, Myra is again near Waterloo Bridge but doesn't take cover and is killed.
