While there, Don Juan learns that the evil Duke de Loerea (Robert Douglas) is plotting to take over the throne, and—aided by Leporello (Alan Hale), Don Serafino (Fortunio Bonanova), and Don Sebastian (Jerry Austin)—Don Juan foils the plans. The film won an Academy Award for Best Costumes.
