Their tour guide Kate (Radha Mitchell) is persuaded to steer the boat on a detour around a small island onto a secluded lake where her ex-husband Neil (Sam Worthington) appears in his own boat and buzzes the touring boat. Then, a 25-foot crocodile attacks both boats leaving the passengers stranded on the island as the waters rise and night closes in while the crocodile searches among them for its next meal.
