Ruth searches for John, but no one remembers John being on board, and their cabin number does not match with their names. To make matters worse, the passenger list has Ruth listed under her maiden name. Then the ship's doctor, Paul Manning (Michael Rennie), gets involved and helps Ruth uncover what has really happened to her husband.
