Be Kind Rewind   2008         PG-13, 101 min. One day, Mr. Fletcher takes off to check out the competition and tells Mike that his friend Jerry (Jack Black) is not allowed in the store. But, Jerry does arrive and, without knowing it, erases all the store's tapes. (His brain had been magnetized the day before when he tried to sabotage a nearby power plant.) A store regular, Miss Falewicz (Mia Farrow) comes in and threatens to tell on them if she cannot have a working copy of "Ghostbusters" by the end of the day. The solution to their problem: Mike and Jerry recreate films—including "Ghostbusters," "The Lion King," and "Back to the Future"—using themselves and neighbors as actors. The shop does a great business when the clients are thrilled with the remakes and ask for more.
