Once there, he makes friends with Max (Joe Anderson) and falls in love with Max's sister Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood). Now living in Greenwich Village with Max, Jude and his circle of friends deal with anti-war protests, race riots, and rock 'n roll. The film's theme is based on songs made popular by the Beatles during that same time period.
