Coming to the rescue is town outcast Frank Burris (Eddie Mills) who falls in love with the mill manager's (John Terry) daughter Sylvia (Hilary Swank). Then, while wandering in the forest, Frank finds gold along the riverbed and comes up with a plan to save the mill and the town as well.
