Gregan   Ex-con Sonny Mann (Timothy Olyphant) returns to his hometown in Florida where he asks for money owed to him by local crime boss Fred Vance (William Forsythe). Instead of paying the debt, Vance blows up Sonny's family home and kills Sonny's father in the process. Sonny moves in with his childhood friends Deputy Sheriff Dave Lockhart (Josh Brolin) and Dave's wife Ann (Sarah Wynter) and soon begins an affair with Ann, which threatens both the marriage and Sonny and Dave's lifelong friendship.
