Wagon train master Linc (Charles Bronson) and young sidekick Jamie (13-year-old Kurt Russell) arrive in a town where they are not treated well by the thugs—led by Rance (Jan Merlin)—that run the place. To make matters worse, Linc's old girlfriend, Maria (Susan Oliver), is married to Rance. After the inevitable shootout, Linc, Jamie, and Maria take off in search of a gold mine. The film is an expanded version of an episode in the TV series "The Travels of Jamie McPheeters."
