Sylvia (Ida James) leaves her Harlem home to claim the inheritance of a Jamaican banana plantation from her deceased father. But, her half-sister, Isabelle (Nina Mae McKinney) wants the plantation for herself and tries to scare Sylvia away with voodoo rites. When the rites fail to do the trick, the sisters reunite and run the plantation together.
