The Adventures of Ociee Nash   2003             G, 85 min. Rodriguez, John Lawhorn, Jasmine Sky, Jill Jane Clements   Nine-year-old Ociee (Skyler Day) loves her tomboy life on her family's Mississippi farm, but her father (Keith Carradine) has decided that since Ociee's mother died, Ociee has had no maternal influences and sends her to live with Aunt Mamie (Mare Winningham) in Asheville. While Ociee is saddened to leave, she experiences great adventures along the way—including her meetings with Nellie Bly, the Wright brothers, and President William McKinley). She arrives at Aunt Mamie's home, and after awhile the two bond.
