Then, four friends (Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis) head into outer space to research DNA and fly into a cosmic storm, gain superpowers, and become the "Fantastic Four"—much to the chagrin of Von Doom who blames his recent financial woes on failures of the space mission and obtains his own superpower with which he plots to destroy the "Fantastic Four" and gain control of the world.
