In this film, based on George Barr McCutcheon's novel, a World War II veteran Monty Brewster (Dennis O'Keefe) arrives home and learns that he has inherited one million dollars—the catch is he must spend it all within two months or he will not receive the rest of his inheritance. Another stipulation is that he cannot tell anyone about the inheritance. Brewster goes on a spending spree putting his money into bad investments, all of which turn into surprising profits. In the midst of his frenzy to spend the money, personal problems arise when he must postpone his wedding to Peggy (Helen Walker) but cannot tell her why. And still, the spending sprees continue. 1 User Review
