Robby has talents as an inventor and heads to Robot City to meet his idol: master inventor Bigweld (Mel Brooks). He meets evil business executive Ratchet (Greg Kinnear) and learns that Ratchet has fired Bigweld and has taken control of the city. Robby joins forces with misfits Fender (Robin Williams) and Cappy (Halle Berry), and, together, they set out to find Bigweld and restore order to the city.
