This time there is a twist: culture differences rather than class distinctions cause the problems. The story begins in India where farmer's daughter Lalita (Aishwarya Rai) meets wealthy American Will Darcy (Martin Henderson). Mutual contempt results from the onset, but all will change when Lalita and Will get past those first impressions.
