The 1953 version, "Donovan's Brain," is truer to the novel than this one or 1962's "The Brain." Mad scientist Franz (Erich von Stroheim) keeps a ruthless financier's brain alive. The brain takes over the mind of lab assistant Patrick (Richard Arlen) in order to take revenge on those who wronged him.
