As all good Western film fans know, "Aces and Eights" is called the "death hand," which is named for the hand that Wild Bill Hickock held when he was shot. This hand of cards comes into play when Tim Madigan (Tim McCoy)—who doesn't even carry a gun—poses as a card sharp when he comes to the aid of a Mexican family who are being cheated out of their ranch.
