When daughter Blair (Julie Gonzalo) leaves for the Peace Corps before Christmas, Luther and Nora Krank (Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis) plan to skip Christmas and embark on a cruise instead. But, the Krank's cranky neighbors are not pleased with the idea of foregoing Christmas, and disharmony threatens to ruin Christmas for all.
