Scott Fitzgerald (Richard Chamberlain) and wife-to-be Zelda (Blythe Danner) when he was in the army and stationed in Alabama. It also presents a dramatization of one of his short stories, "The Last of the Belles," about a soldier who meets a Southern girl.
