Marie (Bette Davis) kills her husband (Robert Barrat) because she thinks she is in love with Johnny Ramirez (Paul Muni). When Johnny spurns her advances, Marie frames him for the murder. Fortunately for Johnny, Marie breaks down on the witness stand and he becomes a free man.
