Then, Regina (Rachel McAdams), Gretchen (Lacey Chabert), and Karen (Amanda Seyfriend) invite Cady to join a catty clique. She accepts and then finds that her new group hates the rebels. Cady becomes a mean girl but ends up in a battle against the members of the clique when she discovers that they define social acceptability at the school.
