When out-of-work actor Jake Scully (Craig Wasson) housesits at a hilltop home, he discovers a porno star (Melanie Griffith). Enamored by her, he follows her one day and becomes involved in a murder in which the weapon is a power drill. Jake cannot resist trying to solve the murder.
