His plan: kidnap a surgeon and force him to remake the face of one of Fu Manchu's prisoners into that of Scotland Yard nemesis Nayland Smith. He then sends the double—under hypnosis—to kill Smith's maid. Now Nayland Smith is convicted of murder, and Fu Manchu sets out to do the same thing in other countries.
