Bartleby   1970         PG, 78 min. He takes a job with an accountant (Paul Scofield) but is fired after he is unable to perform his tasks. Even then, Bartleby shows up for work daily until he enters a hospital and it is learned that he suffers from several ailments. The accountant is at first happy to be rid of Bartleby but later suffers over Bartleby's death. Plodding.
