The economy resulted in many hardships, and Danny (Liam Neeson) has been unemployed since he lost his job in the mines. Not wanting to live entirely off his loving wife's (Joanne Whalley) income, he finds a job as a participant in the brutal sport of bare-knuckle boxing.
