Of Love and Shadows   1994         R, 104 min. Such is the case with Irene (Jennifer Connelly), a magazine editor who is engaged to an army officer. Things change when she meets Francisco (Antonio Banderas), a photographer and anarchist who fights for the people's rights. Irene falls in love with Francisco and joins in the fight for justice. Adapted from Isabel Allende's book, this film does not begin to do justice to the powerful story.
